About me

Hey, I'm Tommy

I'm a retired public servant who moved to Montana to live the life I had only seen on TV. While I have started a second career in public service, I have also decided to turn my new found love of the great outdoors into a photography business. I fell in love with the all that Montana has to offer... the Mountains, valleys, rivers, lakes... its all here for me to explore. My goal is to capture the emotion that I feel and share it with you here.

Exploring Montana

My of my greatest pleasures is exploring this wonderful state! There is so much to see and do here, and it is all at my disposal. Whether I hop in the Jeep, or put the backpack on and head into the high country, I'm certain I will see something spectacular. I want to capture that, and bring it to you.

Heading up for an overnight in the back country. Maybe I'll have trout for dinner!

Obligatory Jeep Pictures!

I've been all over Western Montana taking pictures of the most amazing scenery... Now its time to put them to canvas and let folks enjoy them on their walls at home, or in their office.

So here is the process... I scour the mountainside for the best scenery. I take pictures in the CR3 (RAW) format with my Canon camera. In any given day I go exploring for pictures, I may take in upwards of 1,200 pictures. Sometimes I do several angles, or try different ISO, Aperture or shutter speed settings to see if I can capture the true essence of the creation I am shooting. That's not necessarily the hard part... Next, I go into the editing room and find the very best of the photos that I took to see what enhancements I can make, colors I can touch up, or even textures I can alter. I have used a few different companies for my canvases because I want my canvases and acrylics to be the very best they can be.

The two photos below were taken at the Hamilton Farmers Market in Mid July. This was my first show so I really did not know what to expect. I was very happy to hear so many people tell me that they loved my photos! I made several sales, but I have a lot left in stock. All of the canvases hanging on the rack in the first picture are 24"x36" size. I am able to get other sizes too! On the table in pic #2, there are 20"x16" and 12"x8" canvases and 16"x12" acrylics. The four centered photos on easels in the second picture are on acrylic. Those are extremely cool.

I am constantly looking for other shows and craft fairs to share my art with others. Each of the photos you see below can be found in my Gallery. If you see something you like and want it in a 24"x36", I probably have it... but I can have any size made, of just about any photo you like.

Next Chapter

I have started a new chapter in my life. I found the most amazing partner in Sarah. She is my best friend and the brains of this outfit. Together we will explore every part of Montana and bring the best scenery we can find.

Please scroll through my gallery down below. If any of my photos catch your eye, I can put them on paper, canvas, acrylic or anything else really, and with just a little bit of your money, they could be on your wall in no time. Hit me up, let me know what you want. I can get it to you cheaper than this site ;-)

My goal with photography is to capture that feeling of exploring a new place for the very first time — freezing it to be shared and re-lived over and over again.

THE MOUNTAINS ARE CALLING AND I MUST GO!

These photos are for fun! I snapped them with my iPhone while out adventuring. You are almost to my gallery...
